About the role
We are looking for an on-site Senior Benefits Specialist to support our team at our corporate location in Blue Ash, Ohio. Responsibilities
- Lead the administration of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), employee stock plans, wellness initiatives, and leave programs.
- Serve as the trusted advisor for employees, managers, HR partners, and benefit vendors.
- Drive annual Open Enrollment from planning and testing through implementation and post-enrollment audits.
- Lead exciting benefits projects, including HRIS enhancements, vendor implementations, process improvements, and acquisition integrations.
- Partner with brokers and vendors to continually improve our benefit offerings and employee experience.
- Analyze benefit trends, utilization, and costs to recommend innovative solutions and strategic improvements.
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate leave administration and disability programs while providing exceptional employee support.
- Develop engaging employee communications, educational materials, and wellness initiatives that help employees maximize their benefits.
- Partner closely with Payroll, Finance, and HR to ensure accurate administration, reporting, and financial reconciliation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive experience administering employee benefit programs.
- Strong expertise in health and welfare plans, retirement plans, leave administration, and compliance.
- Experience working with brokers, insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and benefit vendors.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and recommend improvements.
- Experience with HRIS and benefits administration systems (ADP experience is a plus).
- Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
- A passion for providing exceptional employee service.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- CEBS certification is a plus.
