About the role

The Senior Benefits Analyst will serve as the North American subject matter expert for retirement, life, disability, and time off programs. This role will drive strategic design, regulatory governance, vendor negotiation, and compliance of these programs within a highly collaborative, matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop competitive design and communication recommendations for United States and Canada retirement, life, disability, and time off programs utilizing market benchmarking and data analytics.
  • Partner with senior leadership and external brokers on strategic vendor management, renewal negotiations, and roadmap recommendations to support evolving business needs.
  • Monitor federal, state, and provincial legislative changes to ensure strict regulatory compliance, maintaining compliance trackers and providing business requirements for system updates.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Human Resources Service Delivery, Employee Relations, Payroll, and external administrators to ensure accurate policy execution, resolve complex escalated cases, and establish clear standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in retirement and leave benefit plan and policy design.
  • Strong knowledge of United States and Canadian benefit programs, including Family and Medical Leave Act, Paid Family and Medical Leave, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability regulations.
  • Advanced Data Mastery: Proven capability in aggregating, manipulating, and analyzing complex data sets, census files, and intricate plan documents.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong, practical proficiency in Workday and ServiceNow platforms is highly preferred.
  • Strategic Agility: Exceptional skills in business case development, negotiation, stakeholder relationship management, and influencing outcomes within a matrixed corporate structure.
  • Communication Skills: Professional fluency in written and verbal English, with a proven ability to present actionable, data-driven insights to executive leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CFA certification preferred.
