The Role
We're hiring a Senior Backend / Infrastructure Engineer to design and build the systems that enable Brellium to scale 10x. Currently processing ~100k sessions per day, we're building towards 1 million+. This requires robust distributed systems, resilient pipelines, and infrastructure that can handle increased load without breaking.
- Design and evolve distributed systems to support 10x growth in session volume
- Improve throughput, fault tolerance, and system resilience across the core pipeline
- Build scalable data pipelines and processing infrastructure
- Strengthen observability, monitoring, and incident response
- Reduce operational bottlenecks and technical debt
- Collaborate with AI and product teams to ensure the underlying systems can support new capabilities at scale
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a backend/infrastructure focus
- Expertise in Python and AWS infrastructure
- Experience building and scaling data-intensive applications and pipelines
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and database internals
- Proven track record of improving system reliability and performance in production
Compensation
$230,000 – $300,000
