Senior Backend Engineer - Platform Security - US

About the role

We are looking for product-focused systems engineers to work on Teleport Core Product. Your responsibilities will include implementing security controls and working with security researchers to find and fix security vulnerabilities.

What You'll Do

• Become an expert on application security at Teleport.
• Design, develop, and ship outstanding, high-quality products.
• Write most of the code in Go.
• Closely collaborate with other teams at Teleport on matters related to application security.
• Grow your technical expertise.

What We're Looking For

• Willingness to work collaboratively with Teleport's engineers on coding challenges in Go as part of the interview process.
• Extensive Go experience.
• Extensive experience developing scalable distributed systems and platforms with the focus on application security.
• Linux systems engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Identity Management, RBAC, ABAC, and zero-trust security models.
• Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to master new technologies.
• Transparency, honesty, and a no-ego mindset.
• Nice to have: Secure design and threat modeling experience, vulnerability research experience, applied cryptography knowledge, significant contributions in Open Source.
