Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

We’re looking for scrappy self-starter backend developers familiar with high-throughput distributed systems. You’ll be part of the team that hardens our core order management engine, optimizes TPS, develops new features, expands to new asset classes, and builds core trading strategies vis-à-vis retail order flow. You will work closely with the founders and be a key part of the technical leadership team.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain real-time high-throughput systems with 99.9%+ uptime SLA
• Develop async queuing systems, batch processing, pub-sub architecture, and websockets
• Optimize database scalability and systems-level performance
• Implement infrastructure-as-code, particularly in AWS (Terraform, Docker container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines)
• Problem-solve from a solutions-first and product-first perspective

Requirements

• Expertise building real-time high-throughput systems (Golang preferred, or Rust/Python & C++ if no direct Golang experience)
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, especially in AWS (Terraform, CI/CD pipelines)
• Interest or prior experience in finance (trading, quant research, banking, brokerage, crypto exchange, etc.)
• DevOps/SRE experience (Terraform + AWS Cloudwatch stack) is a bonus

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Computer Science from top IITs with 9+ CGPA
• Quantitative Developer background from top HFT firms in India
