Senior Backend Engineer

Epic Games · Greater Seattle Area · Today
Engineering$162k–$238k/yrFull-time

About the role

Driving the plug-in power behind Unreal Engine 5, the Online Game Services team bridges connections for licensees and Epic’s internal game teams to online services. This enables games like Fortnite to utilize a combination of platform online services and Epic’s own online services to build cross-platform features such as login, parties, voice chat, matchmaking, purchasing, cloud storage, and analytics.

Fullstack Engineers on the Identity team impact a diverse set of account initiatives from end to end, including internal apps like Epic Games Store sign-in and account management, as well as game client account experiences like Fortnite, Rocket League, and Fall Guys. The team is creating a universal platform and account experience that allows players and developers to benefit from not having to implement and manage account services themselves. It empowers users to connect accounts across ecosystems and gaming platforms, enabling more fun with friends and family on any device.

Identity Fullstack Engineers build and support login, sign-up, session management, safety and privacy controls, developer integrations, and family management features. As a core team, members play a critical role in current projects and future objectives as Epic strives to create a user-first, open experience for the metaverse.
