Senior Backend Engineer
About the Role
At Cloudbeds, we're transforming hospitality through an intelligently designed platform that powers properties across 150 countries, processing billions in bookings annually. As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Booking Engine squad, you'll implement new architectures, features, and best practices to scale the Cloudbeds platform, contributing to our move toward a service-oriented architecture using modern SaaS and AWS technologies. You'll work on systems where correctness, latency, and resilience under load are core priorities, delivering an exceptional experience to customers worldwide with quality, performance, and scalability top of mind.
The Booking Engine Team
This role is part of the Booking Engine Squad, the team behind the guest-facing reservation experience that powers direct bookings for tens of thousands of Cloudbeds properties worldwide. Direct bookings are one of the most valuable channels for properties, and we're constantly innovating to help them capture demand—from richer customization to entirely new booking experiences. The Booking Engine sits on the revenue-critical path, where speed, reliability, and attention to detail directly impact whether a guest completes a booking. It's one of our highest-leverage products, offering the opportunity to own real software used globally.
