Senior Backend Engineer, AI Platform
EvenUp is on a mission to close the justice gap using technology and AI. We empower personal injury lawyers and victims to get the justice they deserve. Our products enable law firms to secure faster settlements, higher payouts, and better outcomes for victims injured through no fault of their own in vehicle collisions, accidents, natural disasters, and more. We are one of the fastest-growing vertical SaaS companies in history, backed by top VCs, including Bessemer Venture Partners, Bain Capital Ventures, SignalFire, and Lightspeed.
About the role
Join EvenUp’s AI Platform team, dedicated to making large language models (LLMs) more accessible, scalable, and impactful across the engineering organization. We build leading LLM-powered systems for the legal industry, transforming how complex legal documents are extracted, summarized, and structured for use by our clients every day. This role operates at the intersection of backend engineering, LLM integration, and hands-on experimentation. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Data Scientists, Researchers, and Software Engineers to tackle challenging generative AI problems. Together, we maintain the foundational infrastructure enabling EvenUp’s product teams to leverage LLMs safely and efficiently at scale.
This is a hybrid role, three days per week at our Toronto office.
