Senior Backend Developer

What you will be doing

We are seeking a Senior Golang Engineer to join our growing engineering team and help modernize and scale enterprise-grade systems. This role is ideal for an experienced software engineer who enjoys building high-performance backend services, improving development practices, mentoring team members, and driving strategic technical initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong recent experience with Go (Golang) version 1.20 or higher.
• Prominent experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Solid knowledge of software design principles, object-oriented programming concepts, and coding best practices.
• Advanced experience with Git and GitHub workflows.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Strong experience with Docker and containerized environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Able to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and thrive in a small collaborative team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to estimate work, prioritize tasks, and deliver results with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with PHP and modern frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
• Experience with React and modern frontend technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES5/ES6), jQuery, and NPM.
• Experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience refactoring and modernizing large-scale enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Advanced database expertise, including complex joins, stored procedures, triggers, functions, query optimization, and enterprise-scale database administration.
