About the role

We are seeking a high potential, resourceful, hands-on, problem-solving Product Engineer with the capacity to quickly grasp and resolve a wide range of technical challenges. The ideal candidate will work closely with suppliers and contract manufacturers to qualify and ramp new discrete power devices, participate in the development of new discrete products to meet market needs, monitor, document, summarize and report on project status, and initiate, manage, and participate in projects to improve quality and cost.

Responsibilities

  • Closely collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to qualify and ramp new discrete power devices.
  • Participate in the development of new discrete products to meet market needs.
  • Maintain and update project status reports, documenting deliverables and product-specific risks.
  • Initiate, manage, and contribute to projects aimed at enhancing product quality and meeting customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Materials Science.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on troubleshooting equipment, materials, or processes impacting product quality and yield.
  • In-depth knowledge of power packaging techniques, including die attach, wire bonding, molding, testing, and burn-in.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, independent thinking, attention to detail, and excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A high-energy, self-motivated attitude with strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds at all levels of the company.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of power device reliability testing and failure analysis.
  • Familiarity with JMP, Tableau, or similar software packages.
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously and successfully managing process ownership in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills.
  • Statistical process control experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Outstanding computer and analytical skills.

Pay

The compensation for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

This role is full-time and requires a flexible schedule to accommodate the demands of a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
