Senior Azure .NET Engineer - NC
Location: Charlotte, NC | Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week | Contract Length: 9 months | Bill Rate: $67/hr - $72/hr
About the role
In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on complex Software Engineering initiatives supporting a specialized Legal Technology platform used to fulfill enterprise eDiscovery research requests. This role is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and modernizing a business-critical Azure-hosted application. The successful candidate will provide hands-on engineering support across application development, API integration, database management, cloud deployment, and Infrastructure-as-Code activities while ensuring platform stability and performance. Although legal technology experience is beneficial, strong technical expertise is the primary focus.
Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and enhance a specialized Legal Technology application.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues.
- Develop, update, and maintain APIs and application integrations.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and maintain database objects, including stored procedures.
- Manage and support Azure-hosted application environments, including deploying releases and enhancements.
- Utilize Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices to manage environment and configuration changes.
- Monitor platform health, stability, and performance.
- Partner with application support teams, software engineers, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering, application engineering, or application support experience.
- Experience must include developing and supporting APIs, deploying releases, and managing cloud-based applications.
- Hands-on experience with .NET Core development.
- Strong SQL Server experience, including query development and stored procedures.
- Experience supporting applications hosted in Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance existing applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with eDiscovery platforms or legal technology solutions.
- Experience modernizing legacy or established applications.
- Familiarity with application architecture and cloud modernization practices.
- Apigee experience.
