Senior Azure Engineer

About the role

MSF USA is seeking a Senior Azure Engineer to join our Systems team. Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure, this role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure-based solutions while leveraging programming expertise to optimize cloud infrastructure and application performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming and will be part of a dynamic, in-person team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of increasing responsibility for either:

  • Technical subject matter expertise (preference for experience working with Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services).

  • Programming expertise using programming languages such as Python, C#, PowerShell, or JavaScript to automate cloud operations and workflows

  • Windows and Linux Server Management

• Very familiar with networking and infrastructure concepts, such as Microsoft Application Stack (e.g. Active Directory, O365), Cisco networking and unified collaboration technologies, Windows Server/Desktop OS, VMWare/HyperV, IP based networking, cloud management.

• Experience with any of the following (highly desirable): CRM, HRIS, intranet solutions SharePoint, enterprise financial software, networks and infrastructure

• Experience establishing and implementing core aspects of infrastructure and networks within a small to medium sized organization.

• Experience working with managed services and/or shared services

• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Committed to successful project planning and execution of network operations.

• Experience working in an international NGO

• Interest in technology issues of relevance for humanitarian organizations (whether in a headquarters or field setting)

Must be willing to travel for work as needed.
