Senior Aviation Maintenance Inspector Location: Remote — US-based candidates preferredEngagement: ContractCompensation: $70–$130 USD per hour About the opportunity AceSuited Recruit is sharing a remote contract opportunity for experienced aviation maintenance inspectors to apply their industry expertise to an AI development project. You’ll review technical documents and inspection data, contributing practical insights that help train next-generation AI systems in aviation maintenance and regulatory knowledge. No previous AI experience is required. Scope of work • Review, analyse and annotate aircraft maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogues (IPCs) and related technical documents.• Evaluate borescope engine inspection data, identify anomalies and recommend corrective actions based on FAA standards.• Assess composite structure inspection processes and findings against regulatory requirements and industry best practices.• Interpret approach plates and flight operations briefing materials, providing feedback on navigational and operational accuracy.• Provide detailed written and verbal insights on maintenance and inspection procedures to support AI model development.• Cross-reference maintenance tasks against FAA Parts 43, 121, 135 and 145.• Help refine and validate aviation datasets used for AI training. Preferred qualifications • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate. Inspection Authorization (IA) or equivalent Part 145 inspector status is strongly preferred.• 8+ years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance, inspection and regulatory compliance.• Experience with borescope engine inspections and interpreting the resulting imagery and reports.• Proficiency reading and interpreting maintenance manuals, IPCs and approach plates.• Thorough working knowledge and practical application of FAA Parts 43, 121, 135 and 145.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.• Experience as a check airman or in aviation maintenance training or mentoring is a plus.
