Senior AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Senior AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will focus on supporting and optimizing enterprise virtual desktop environments across complex production settings. The Senior AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) Engineer will partner closely with system administrators and other stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, improve interoperability, and guide technical decisions that shape the virtual desktop platform. This position also plays a key role in evaluating solution options and making practical make-versus-buy recommendations that support operational effectiveness. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $114,600 – $252,100 annually Responsibilities Provide Tier 3/4 support to system administrators to resolve VDI issues Guide desktop optimization for platform interoperability and act as a liaison between virtual desktop technologies Support endpoint issues and perform troubleshooting related to virtual desktops Maintain advanced knowledge of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies Operate across multiple complex production environments with various stakeholders Conduct trade studies and make recommendations on solutions and make-versus-buy decisions Qualifications Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD) Master's degree and 10 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree and 13 years of experience, or 19 years of total experience Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure networking, storage, and virtual desktops Experience managing and administering Windows Servers Experience with Azure AD, Intune, and FSLogix Experience in VDI profile management Benefits Flexible time off benefit Access to robust learning resources Comprehensive healthcare and wellness benefits Financial and retirement support Family support and continuing education opportunities Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
