Senior Automotive Technician - Clay, NY

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide variety of automotive systems, including: suspension, steering, alignment, coolant systems, engine, electrical, and transmission.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Perform standard vehicle maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Continuously learns new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay up to date with rapidly changing automotive technology.
• Keep advisor aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.

Requirements

• Valid New York State Inspectors License.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, transmission diagnostics, and/or engine performance.
• Problem solving skills.
• Able to work independently with appropriate time management.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid Driver's License.

Preferred Skills

• Previous Ford Dealership experience.
• Other manufacturer training and/or ASE Certifications.
