This includes, but is not limited to, troubleshooting, diagnostics, drivability tests, mechanical and electrical systems, tires, brakes, suspension, etc. They will champion the company’s mission and vision while modeling the company’s values. What You Will Do Provide general guidance and technical support to other automotive techniciansMaintaining/repairing the various fleets of program and support vehicles, as well as small equipmentTroubleshoot, diagnose, and identify solutions to vehicle and equipment issuesComplete maintenance/repairs on engines, electrical systems, brakes, transmissions, clutches, tires, etc.Track parts, supplies, and/or time on all work performedUtilize computer-based vehicle diagnostic software for repairs and proceduresProvide track-side support during programs as assignedDevelop and maintain a strong knowledge of the company, its products and programsProtect the moral, legal and financial well-being of the companyContinually work with other team members and departments to find new and better ways of accomplishing work and results with an emphasis on safety, accountability, leadership, and guest servicePerform other job duties as assigned Requirements Knowledge and Skills you possess 5-10 yrs experience as automotive technician in a fully functional mechanic shopComputer-based diagnostic platforms—Ford Service Net and Ford IDS/FDRS background is preferredHigh School GraduateAbility to prioritize tasks in the most productive and/or appropriate mannerDemonstrate outstanding customer service and problem-solving skillsAbility to teach and remain professionalAbility to interact well with guests and fellow team membersStrong verbal communication skillsAbility to organize and prioritize tasks in the most productive and appropriate mannerAbility to make quick, sound decisions that match the company’s values and standardsAbility to problem solve, utilizing creative thinking in all situationsMaintain a current forklift operator certificateProficient manual transmission operationGraduate of the Ford Asset Program, and/or other automotive certifications preferred Supervision Received and Exercised Reports to the shop manager, provides guidance to other automotive technicians Expectations Adhere to a Monday to Friday, day shift work schedule with some evenings, weekends, and holidays requiredAdhere to all company policies and proceduresProfessionally represent the company in the community, industry organizations, and during eventsUse proper and professional language in the workplace, when interfacing with guests or potential clients and when representing the company in an official capacityBe efficient with time management skills, allowing work to get done in a timely mannerDemonstrate an ability to perform quality work with no errors in a timely mannerShow respect for others and maintain a positive attitudeMaintain a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and pass a background check and drug screening Physical Demands May be required to work long hours when needed, or as business requiresActive, physical, on-the-go daily workflowMust be able to lift up to 100 poundsModerate to high levels of stress may be associated with this position Language Skills Must be able to communicate in English
