Senior Automotive Electronics Validation Engineer

About the role

Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Senior Automotive Electronics Validation Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Automotive Electronics Validation Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Electronics Test and Validation team supporting vehicle electronics development and validation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving, and excellent communication abilities, which will enable you to thrive in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design verification and characterization test plans for ECU programs, collaborating with reliability, design, and firmware teams.
• Lead the execution of characterization testing plans aligned with project milestones to ensure timely delivery.
• Own test coverage reports and perform comprehensive data analysis to identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct bench-level characterization at IC and PCBA levels to validate electronic components and assemblies.
• Provide early feedback to design engineers regarding design decisions and testability, fostering continuous improvement.

Requirements

• BS/MS or equivalent work experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in electronics characterization and validation testing.
• Proficiency with lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, and digital multimeters.
• Strong understanding of Electrical Engineering fundamentals and vehicle electrical systems.
• Experience with scripting and data analysis using Python, along with knowledge of communication buses used in automotive systems.
