Your tasks
- Design and program PLC and HMI systems, primarily using Rockwell/Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk) and Siemens platforms.
- Develop control logic, operator interfaces, alarms, and interlock concepts based on engineering specifications.
- Commission automation systems and perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at our headquarters in Kufstein, Austria.
- Install, start up, and validate equipment at customer sites across the United States.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and automation-related issues both on-site and remotely.
- Create Service Documentation and maintain software and system records.
- Execute Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and ensure compliance with customer, GMP, and safety requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management, and Quality teams throughout project execution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical and machine safety standards.
- Support information security compliance by adhering to company policies and contributing to the protection of systems, data, and infrastructure.
Profile
- Technical education in automation engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering on the field.
- Strong expertise in Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI systems; Siemens experience is an advantage.
- Proven track record in commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and service support for automated equipment.
- Experience working directly with customers in demanding production environments; GMP experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of industrial controls, electrical systems, and industrial networks.
- Business fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- Highly independent, hands-on problem solver with a strong customer-focused mindset.
- Awareness of OT/IT security practices and commitment to working safely in regulated industrial environments.
- Valid driver's license.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
