Senior Automation Engineer – Cold Room & Refrigeration

About the role

Our pharmaceutical client is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to support the design, deployment, automation, commissioning, and validation of cold-room, refrigeration, freezer, and HVAC systems within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and support automated refrigeration, CO cold-room, freezer, and HVAC control systems.
• Lead automation projects from design through commissioning and validation.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration and automation control systems.
• Support equipment qualification and ensure compliance with GMP, OSHA, and EPA requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, validation, quality, and project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of industrial refrigeration experience.
• 5+ years of CO cold-room system design and operation.
• Experience with refrigeration automation, HVAC controls, and automated systems.
• Strong knowledge of GMP/GxP, commissioning, qualification, and validation.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
