Senior Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead automation and controls activities for plant projects and process improvements.
  • Support technology transfers and manufacturing automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot PLC/DCS systems, instrumentation, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Analyze process performance using OSI PI Historian or similar tools.
  • Support Change Controls, CAPAs, Deviations, and technical investigations.
  • Review automation documentation, SOPs, and functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, MSAT, Engineering, and Quality teams.
  • Participate in audits and provide on-call support as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of automation/controls engineering experience.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC/DCS systems and automation troubleshooting.
  • Experience with OSI PI Historian (or similar process historian).
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, Change Control, CAPA, and Deviations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
