E Tech Group provides IT automation and control solutions for industries including Life Sciences, Mission Critical, Metals & Mining, Warehousing & Distribution, and CPG/Food & Beverage. As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will work independently on all aspects of process automation engineering and system integration—from initial concepts and design to implementation, testing, startup, and training. You’ll be a key member of a diverse team tackling complex automation challenges for clients.
Location: Hybrid with local driving travel.
Responsibilities
- Lead or contribute to project teams responsible for the design, configuration, and testing of continuous and batch control applications.
- Understand project scope and financials; exercise time management to plan and coordinate work, develop schedules and budgets, and identify change orders while ensuring completion of deliverables to client satisfaction.
- Provide solutions and technical expertise to project leadership and clients, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
- Adapt to a flexible work schedule and travel as needed for design, development, and startup of control systems at client facilities.
- Serve as an automation Subject Matter Expert.

Requirements
- PLC Programming with Rockwell Studio5000, RSLogix5000.
- Hands-on experience executing automation projects for process plants, with 5+ years in industry, preferably in the Life Sciences domain.
- BS Engineering degree or equivalent educational background.
- Detail-oriented with strong technical aptitude and a desire to learn new technologies.
- Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, including ISA S88 Batch, ISA S95 Controls System Architecture, GAMP 5, cGMP, and 21 CFR Part 11.
- Experience developing process control system applications using Siemens PLC, WinCC Unified SCADA, LAB-X, PAS-X, and Aveva PI Historian.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented software development and delivery methodologies.
- Expertise in designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting virtual server-based control system architectures, including knowledge of control system network topology (Ethernet, Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, etc.).
- Knowledge of process instrumentation specification, installation, troubleshooting, and control panel design, check-out, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and resolving equipment and instrument-related issues during startup and commissioning, including performing complex system testing.
- Experience supporting installation and commissioning of equipment and systems at customer sites.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
