Senior Assurance Associate

Currently looking for a Senior Assurance Associate for our Client's Assurance Group. Most of the work is compilation and review engagements. This role is built for candidates that like the accounting side of assurance best (building clean financial statements, working closely with clients, and turning their books into a solid deliverable). Leading engagements from planning through delivery and work directly with owners and management teams. Senior Assurance Associate Responsibilities Plan, perform and wrap up compilation and review engagements under SSARSPrepare financial statements, footnote disclosures and supporting schedulesPerform analytical procedures and inquiries, and document review evidencePropose and post adjusting entries, and reconcile client records to support accurate reportingServe as day-to-day contact for clients and spot opportunities to add value beyond the engagement Senior Assurance Associate Profile 3+ years of public accounting experience at the staff or senior staff levelHands-on experience with compilation and review engagementsStrong financial statement preparation skills, including disclosuresAudit experience is a plus, but we value a deep accounting background moreBachelor's degree in accountingCPA license or progress toward it preferredExperience with engagement software (e.g., CCH Engagement, QuickBooks, CaseWare, CaseView, Thomson Reuters) is a plusClear communicator who can manage several engagements and deadlines Senior Assurance Associate Benefits Competitive salary based on experience: $80,000 - $90,000Health, dental and vision insurance, disability and life insurance401(k)Paid time off Paid holidays - Firm closes between Christmas and New Year'sFlexible ScheduleCPE support
