Responsibilities
- Support managed service engagements, in a variety of industries, on Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) implementation and operations
- Provide quality review for basic to complex trade compliance tasks and processes performed within the Trade & Customs delivery center
- Be a valued member of the FTZ service delivery team, and support the development and training of delivery center staff
- Support FTZ clients with validating data, implementing, testing, and using GTM solutions
- Provide clients with guidance on requirements of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and participating government agencies (PGA) for import, entry and export transactions in an FTZ environment
- Assist in the delivery of multiple client engagements on time and within budget; maintain active communication with clients in an effort to manage expectations and satisfaction
Qualifications
- Minimum three years of recent import/export experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and/or a CPA, JD, LLM, Master's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
- Excellent working knowledge of Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) processes, compliance activities, and operations, including participating government agency (PGA) reporting, as well as other import/export matters, such as the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs federal regulations, free trade agreements, entry processes, valuation and informed compliance methods
- Previous experience using FTZ Inventory Control and Recordkeeping Systems and/or FTZ processing is preferred
- Strong technical skills with the ability to conduct in-depth reviews of import/export data using data and analytics (using Microsoft applications such as Excel and Access)
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
Pay
California Salary Range: $73,720 - $164,565. Offered salary is determined based on relevant factors such as applicant's skills, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and market considerations.
