Senior Associate - Tax Services

Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual income tax returns and related workpapers, including partnerships, corporations, trusts, foundations, and gift returns.
- Prepare or review quarterly estimates, projections, and assist with complex tax planning engagements.
- Research technical tax matters and help develop recommendations for clients and internal teams.
- Assist with tax audits, notices, and correspondence with taxing authorities.
- Partner with wealth managers, clients, and client service teams to ascertain, track, and preserve data needed for tax preparation and planning.
- Manage multiple engagements and competing deadlines while ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of client work.
- Review work for completeness, identify planning opportunities, and apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Serve as a day-to-day contact for clients and internal stakeholders, communicating tax matters clearly and professionally.
- Mentor and provide guidance to Associates and other developing team members; oversee onboarding and knowledge sharing.
- Demonstrate initiative and leadership in improving workflows, identifying efficiencies, and contributing to team operations.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment in handling sensitive client information.
- Aid in ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
We will consider any combination of experience and education which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job. A typical way to acquire the requirements would be: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent with accounting coursework). Minimum 3-5 years of experience in tax or public accounting. CPA license, CPA eligibility with progress toward completion, or Master’s in Taxation/MBT preferred.
Qualifications
Knowledge: Strong foundation in individual and entity taxation, including partnerships, corporations, trusts, and gift taxation. Experience with professional tax software and electronic workpaper systems. Understanding of wealth management and high-net-worth client service environments. Awareness of confidentiality standards, ethical responsibilities, and regulatory compliance expectations.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly.
