Senior Associate, Strategic Finance
About the role
We’re seeking a Strategic Finance Senior Associate to join Chime’s Growth & Marketing Finance team. This role partners closely with cross-functional leaders across Marketing, Growth, Product, and Data to manage marketing budget, evaluate growth initiatives, measure performance, and inform strategic investment decisions. Our team’s mandate is to bring rigorous, data-driven insights to help Chime scale efficiently and drive sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Finance, Marketing, and Product leadership to support growth strategy discussions, define success metrics, and measure the impact of growth initiatives across the user lifecycle
- Develop, deliver, and maintain clear, insightful reporting that helps business leaders track progress vs expectations
- Support and continuously improve forecasting processes, systems, and tooling to better reflect growth dynamics, streamline operations, and enhance scalability and automation
- Lead cohort-based analyses and deep dives by extracting, visualizing, and synthesizing data to identify performance trends, key drivers, and areas of opportunity across acquisition and engagement
- Contribute to earnings preparation and executive narratives related to user growth, translating complex analyses into clear insights and externally facing performance stories
- Leverage automation and emerging AI capabilities to enhance reporting, streamline workflows, and improve scalability
Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant experience in Strategic Finance, investment banking, private equity, consulting, venture capital or a related field, ideally within a high-growth technology environment
- Exceptional skills with building scalable, efficient, and intuitive financial models; prior experience with Looker and SQL a plus
- Demonstrated prior experience with cohort data and ROI analysis; familiarity with marketing ecosystem, acquisition channels, and channel KPIs a plus
- Excellent communication skills, capable of synthesizing complex findings into concise and actionable insights
- High attention to detail and a strong ownership mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work and influence cross-functionally with minimal guidance; you will communicate with cross-functional partners and senior leadership on a weekly basis
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
- CPA or CFA designation preferred
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with financial modeling and forecasting
- Proficiency in SQL and Looker
- Experience with cohort data analysis and ROI evaluation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Benefits
The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits.
Pay
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $119,000.00 and up to $165,000.00.
Schedule
In this role, you can expect to work 4 days a week in the office and Fridays from home for those near one of our offices, plus team and company-wide events depending on location.
