About the Role

Maintain accurate and up-to-date information pertaining to the Region’s dealers. This position serves as the primary Dealer Development contact for updating the SAP database and is critical in the development, preparation, and maintenance of documentation for key dealer, franchise, and vendor actions. Behavioral due diligence ensures compliance with all legal, state/government, and franchise regulatory requirements for dealer actions. The role collects and disseminates information to support decisions by Regional management regarding market representation, performance, and new market identification.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the workflow of the Dealer Action packages system, including initiating, analyzing, and reviewing all Dealer Development packages for accuracy prior to approval by Regional Management and submission to the National Dealer Development department.
  • Interface with National on agreement activities and requirements.
  • Evaluate complex ownership structures and related state-by-state legal requirements to determine required packages/documents, including:
    • New Dealer Appointments
    • Buy/Sell Transactions
    • Letters of Intent
    • Sales and Service Agreement Amendments
    • Management Changes
    • Relocations
    • Terminations
  • Develop and maintain departmental tracking, report management, and distribution of dealer support and performance programs, such as:
    • Earnback/Customer Experience Bonus Program Qualification and Payments
    • Dealer Development Support Funds/Co-op Funds
    • Sales Efficiency and market performance reporting (shared sales, insell/outsell, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Region and National Management to ensure compliance with all AOR Notification Requirements per Franchise Law Information System (FLIS) across the states covered by the Region.
  • Reconcile and disperse dealer parts accounts to applicable vendors or release to dealers, complying with strict HMA and/or State timelines and requirements.
  • Manage risk in relation to Finance policies and procedures, including Flooring, Cash Incentive, and Cash In Advance, to limit HMA’s financial exposure while complying with all requirements.
  • Maintain current and accurate facility information and photograph files for all dealers.
  • Maintain confidential dealer files and requests for legal documentation.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by regional executive management.

Requirements

  • High school graduate (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Four to five years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in sales, dealer development, or market representation.
  • Legal background is a plus.
  • Enthusiastic, autonomous self-starter with a bias to action and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt to change.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to solve complex problems.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
  • Experience with SAP, MicroStrategy Reporting, or SQL-based query systems is a plus.

Pay

Compensation Range: $63,800.00 - $88,000.00 annual base salary.

Schedule

Normal office duties.
