About the role
The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in a real estate development law, with a strong background representing developers in the creation, structuring, and development homeowners’ associations (HOAs), condominium associations, and master-planned communities.
Responsibilities
- Advising developers throughout the lifecycle of residential and mixed-use development projects, including the creation and establishment of community associations, drafting and amending declarations, bylaws, covenants, conditions and restrictions (CC&Rs), articles of incorporation, rules and regulations, and other governing documents.
- Experience with developer rights, turnover matters, easements, shared maintenance agreements, community governance structures, and compliance with the Florida Condominium Act.
- Working alongside land use, zoning, real estate, and construction attorneys on community development projects, as well as advising clients on developer transactions.
Requirements
- Member of the Florida Bar
- Excellent drafting, transactional, analytical, negotiation, and communicational skills.
- Experience representing developers in residential, mixed-use, and master-planned community developments matters, is strongly preferred.
