About the Role

Our Private Credit Team is seeking a Senior Associate to help drive performance across our private credit strategies. This role focuses on conducting deep credit analysis, structuring and underwriting private credit investments, and supporting portfolio management decisions. The Senior Associate will evaluate investment opportunities, perform due diligence, monitor portfolio companies, and assess relative value across sectors and structures.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a deal team member in underwriting potential private credit transactions, including diligence and credit memo preparation.
  • Analyze historical financial statements, company KPIs, comparable company information, precedent transactions, and industry reports to assist deal teams’ analysis of investment opportunities.
  • Perform base case and downside case 3-statement modeling in support of investment recommendations and portfolio management.
  • Coordinate analysis with loan-only/private credit analysts to provide industry and market comp context for each transaction.
  • Support the broader private credit business, including portfolio management, structuring, and capital markets activities.
  • Work effectively in a small deal team setting with a collaborative mindset while managing multiple deal processes simultaneously.
  • Analyze credit documents such as loan agreements, amendments, and security agreements.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years of underwriting experience with a strong credit discipline.
  • Strong team-first mindset and ability to work within a large organization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent quantitative, communication, and time management skills.
  • BA/BS degree required.

Position may be filled in either Jersey City, NJ or Chicago, Illinois.

Pay

Annual base salary for this role is $170,000–$190,000. Actual pay may vary. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, determined by firm, team, and individual performance.
