Senior Associate - Pomona

The Senior Associate's main responsibility is to assist the secondary private equity investment team in conducting due diligence on various private equity funds and managers and assess the merits of investment opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing annual and quarterly reports and financial statements of venture capital/LBO/mezzanine funds
- Analyzing the long-term viability of portfolio companies, the market for their products/services, their financing needs, and the fund's exit options
- Participating in deal meetings to determine price, structuring and negotiation tactics
- Portfolio management; quarterly and annual portfolio reporting
- Prepare investment analysis for presentation to the Investment Committee
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in secondaries PE, investment banking, or private equity
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics or business management preferred
- Exposure to private equity/principal investing, mergers and acquisitions, and/or leveraged finance preferred
- Strong work ethic, organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and resourcefulness
- Excellent financial analysis, modeling, and projection skills
- Solid understanding of financial statements, capital structures, and valuation techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Pay
The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $175,000 USD. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level.
