Senior Associate - Operational Risk

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid - 3 days/week onsite)

About the role

Our client is seeking a Senior Associate - Operational Risk to support the development and execution of the firm's operational risk program. This role will partner with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and monitor operational risks while ensuring compliance with regulatory expectations and industry best practices. Banking or asset management industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct operational risk assessments and monitor key risk indicators.
• Support the firm's operational risk framework and risk appetite initiatives.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify and mitigate operational risks.
• Assist with regulatory compliance and operational resilience efforts.
• Utilize and maintain operational risk management systems.
• Collaborate on cross-functional risk projects and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of operational risk experience, preferably within asset management or banking.
• Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks and governance.
• Familiarity with operational resilience and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Wolters Kluwer OneSumX or similar operational risk management systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Pay

Salary: $90,000–$130,000 + Bonus
