Senior Associate/Of Counsel - Private Client (Chicago)

About the role

Taft is looking for a team-oriented experienced attorney to join our Private Client group in the Chicago office.

Responsibilities

• Significant experience advising high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients, including on advanced estate, gift, and GST tax planning
• Substantial experience with lifetime gifting strategies, sales to grantor and non-grantor trusts, QSBS planning, fiduciary counsel, and trust and estate administration
• Closing collaboration with senior partners
• Overseeing and mentoring associates
• Reviewing and refining sophisticated planning documents
• Over time, taking the lead on managing complex matters

Requirements

• At least 10+ years of experience
• Excellent academic and professional credentials
• Strong analytical ability
• Clear, practical communication skills

Pay

The salary range for this position is $265,000-$380,000/year. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted information based on office location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
