Senior Associate, Merchant Strategy & Operations
About The Team
On the Merchant Strategy & Operations team, our mission is to have best-in-class restaurant selection for Consumers and build products and services for our Merchants to grow their businesses profitably on DoorDash. We work on problems ranging from acquiring and onboarding new merchants to building a positive experience and solving pain points for existing merchants, to growing their sales through new products and services.
About The Role
You will lead the support experience for our merchants, owning both the strategy & execution of how we serve them once they’re live on the platform. You’ll be responsible for transforming support into a tech-first, scalable, and seamless experience that drives merchant satisfaction, retention & loyalty.
We're Excited About You Because...
- You have a Bachelor’s degree or higher
- You have 2-3 years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, banking, technology, or related experience; high-growth or early-stage startup experience and experience leading a team are a plus
- You have a proven track record of working on highly cross-functional initiatives, managing towards ambitious goals, and succeeding in a complex environments
- You're an owner / self-starter – You have a bias towards action and are proactive in identifying opportunities and solutions, and areas to add value
- You’re naturally curious – You always look for ways to innovate and improve
- You’re a problem solver – You solve problems from first principles and resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking
- You’re analytical – You let data win arguments, and you’re comfortable pulling your own data in SQL or modeling in Excel

- You're comfortable leveraging AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, and problem-solving. You are actively exploring and applying AI in your day-to-day work, bringing a beginner’s mindset and curiosity as you continuously learn and adapt alongside evolving technology.
Compensation
The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future. In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants.

Paid Time Off Details
- For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
- For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
