About the role

Our team provides best-in-class strategic advice and execution capabilities on a global scale, focusing primarily on the Paper and Packaging sector. This role will involve performing financial analyses and creating financial models, preparing and creating client presentations and meeting materials, interacting with client senior executives, managing deal processes and diligence, mentoring and coaching Analyst bankers, and participating in Lazard's coverage of the Paper & Packaging sector.

Responsibilities

  • Perform financial analyses and create financial models

  • Manage deal processes and diligence
  • Mentor and coach Analyst bankers
  • Participate meaningfully in Lazard’s coverage of the Paper & Packaging sector, including industry research, industry data tracking, and client coverage

Requirements

  • At least 4+ years of investment banking experience (M&A experience strongly preferred)
  • Meaningful exposure to the Paper and Packaging sector; this can include Paper and Packaging transaction experience or deep coverage of companies in the Paper and Packaging sector
  • Strong quantitative background and analytical/technical skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail
  • A demonstrated team player attitude with a strong motivation to contribute to a positive team culture
  • Top academic performance with comfort operating in an unstructured environment which values initiative, creativity, and maturity
  • Motivation to work as a team player and contribute to a positive team culture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to multi-task
