Senior Associate / Junior Partner – Corporate M&A (Sports, Media & Entertainment)

About the role

A prestigious Am Law 100 firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Junior Partner (7+ years PQE) with extensive experience in private equity and M&A transactions to join its New York office. This is a high-impact, front-facing role advising marquee clients across the sports, media, and entertainment industries, with a clear path to leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise complex M&A and private equity transactions from term sheet to closing
• Manage deal teams and mentor junior and midlevel associates
• Negotiate and draft purchase agreements, joint ventures, and investor documents
• Advise institutional and individual clients, including private equity firms and high-net-worth individuals
• Support client growth in the sports, media, and entertainment sectors

Who You Are

• 7+ years of corporate transactional experience (senior associate or junior partner level)
• Demonstrated leadership on leanly staffed deal teams
• Strong track record in private equity and complex M&A deals
• Familiarity with or interest in the sports, media, and entertainment sectors
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and team management skills
• JD from a top-tier law school with strong academic credentials
• Member of the New York Bar (or eligible to waive in)

Compensation

• Salary Range: $320,000 – $400,000 base (DOE)
• Bonus: Performance- and business-development-based bonus opportunities ranging from $10,000 to $200,000+
