Senior Associate, Investment Engineering (Portfolio Engineering)

Responsibilities

• Understand user requests and move them to concrete designs that meet needs of the broader userbase.
• This means asking questions when requests arrive to move from a solution to the right solution based on complexity, cost, timeframe and maintenance.
• Move designs to implementation, including creating databases, schemas, APIs, processing services, schedules, asynchronous pipelines, component code, style sheets, etc.
• This is a full stack position.
• Write software in a collaborative environment, participate in code reviews and design sessions, and mentor junior team members.
• Participate in our support triage process to assist the front-line support team.
• This means implementing our systems with supportability in mind, and a willingness to fill in the gaps if our system falls short.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Component based front-end experience. (Angular, React, Vue, Svelte, etc)
• Database experience, preferably with Microsoft Sql Server or similar.
• OOP experience with C#, Java, etc.
• Experience with Material design and Angular Material in particular.
• Experience working with large datasets, including computational code.
• A desire to continue learning about the craft of software and investment management.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Intellectual curiosity combined with attention to detail.
• Expertise in optimization at all levels of a stack.
• Experience with module federation and other techniques of creating micro frontends.
• Expertise in caching strategies using redis/ related technologies.
• Experience with message based and event-driven systems.
• UX and UI Design knowledge and experience.
