About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated, technically strong, and collaborative professional to join Global Fund Finance as a Senior Fund Administrator. This individual will play a key role in strengthening Lord Abbett’s risk-based fund oversight model across financial reporting, regulatory reporting, NAV oversight, service-provider governance, and strategic fund initiatives. The successful candidate will operate as a senior member of the Fund Treasury team, bringing strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, analytical discipline, and the ability to work effectively across internal teams, service providers, auditors, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance a robust, risk-based fund oversight model across U.S. mutual funds, interval funds, offshore/UCITS vehicles, and other fund structures.
  • Perform and/or oversee analytical reviews of fund operations, including daily and monthly NAV oversight, fund expenses, distributions, borrowing/leverage facilities, reconciliations, and other key fund administration controls.
  • Oversee State Street and Brown Brothers Harriman (accounting agents) in administering the day-to-day operations of the funds, including overseeing NAV calculations and reviews of key reconciliations.
  • Coordinate and/or review fund-of-fund trade activity.
  • Lead or support risk-based reviews of fund financial statements, tailored shareholder reports, and related disclosure documents.
  • Review fund-related SEC filings, which may include Forms N-PORT, N-CEN, N-CSR, N-MFP, prospectuses, Statements of Additional Information, and other regulatory filings.
  • Support disclosure controls and procedures in connection with Principal Financial Officer/Principal Executive Officer certifications.
  • Support new product launches, fund reorganizations, mergers, liquidations, share class launches, fee changes, and other product or business initiatives.
  • Assist in the identification of opportunities to streamline, standardize, and automate manual or duplicative processes across Fund Treasury.
  • Help build dashboards, metrics, exception reporting, workflow tools, issue trackers, and reporting routines that improve transparency and accountability.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of relevant experience in asset management, mutual fund administration, fund accounting, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, fund audit, and/or related fund oversight roles.
  • Working knowledge of registered investment companies and U.S. GAAP for investment companies, with a desire to continue developing technical expertise.
  • Experience supporting or reviewing fund financial statements, tailored shareholder reports, SEC filings, and/or disclosure controls.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify issues, assess risk, evaluate downstream implications, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly.
  • Proficiency with Excel; experience with Power BI, data analytics, dashboarding, workflow tools, or automation initiatives preferred.

Pay

Annual base salary for this role is $100,000 - $120,000. Actual pay may vary. Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus, determined by several factors including firm, team, and individual performance.
