Senior Associate, Food Access
About The Team
The Global Sustainability and Community Impact Team is a dynamic group working to help communities, merchant partners, and Dashers thrive. From broadening food access, to supporting small businesses through innovative partnerships and programs, to promoting environmental sustainability through the power of the DoorDash platform, we are at the cutting edge of public policy and community issues. Through our flagship Food Access initiative, Project DASH, social impact organizations have completed over 8 million deliveries of an estimated 135 million meals to people in need across the US and Canada.
About The Role
You will play an integral role in supporting Project DASH and all of our Food Access priorities. Your operational excellence, strategic thinking, and partner management will help broaden our food access portfolio in the US and internationally. Your work will include ensuring the overall health of our partner portfolio, managing our funding programs for partners, and building out new delivery operations in support of international partners. You’ll also have opportunities to represent DoorDash at external events, building relationships that will help cement the importance of local delivery as a tool to broaden food access. But at its core, this is an operations role - and your success will come from your deep understanding of how our platform operates, and how that provides value to our partners.
You will report into our Global Sustainability and Community Impact Team within the Public Policy organization.
We’re Excited About You Because...
- You have 4+ years in operations, partner management, program management, consulting, strategy, or related experience
- You are passionate about our mission to broaden food access; comfortable in (though not required to have direct experience in) the nonprofit sector
- You are a structured problem-solver who can use SQL to analyze data and drive decisions
- You have experience building and managing budgets
- You thrive in ambiguous and fast-paced environments, prioritizing well across competing demands
- You build trust with partners, cross functional partners, and external stakeholders through clear, empathetic communication
