About the role

The Senior Associate, External Communications role is based in Boston, MA. This is a hybrid position with the requirement to be onsite Monday through Thursday in the Boston, MA headquarters and Friday working from home.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating press briefing materials and staff media interviews with Wayfair spokespeople
  • Auxiliary in managing media inbounds and maintaining relationships with key reporters
  • Manage media lists within media database software
  • Research, write, and develop new and existing stories for corporate blogs
  • Maintain and monitor media for coverage on key campaigns and crises
  • Own and maintain key corporate social media channels including LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Develop and maintain editorial calendar to ensure consistent social media and editorial content
  • Work cross-functionally to coordinate campaigns and storytelling moments
  • Create digital graphics for social media, digital signage and blog posts
  • Analyze and report on data across corporate channels including social media, corporate blog and website

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3-5 years of experience in corporate communications or public relations, either in-house or at an agency.
  • Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude
  • Experience with analytics and measurement for both social and traditional media
  • Working knowledge of a CMS platform
  • Working knowledge of design in the Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
  • Working knowledge of GenAI platforms like Gemini and ChatGPT
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail; carefully and consistently proofs own work
  • Superior organizational skills and proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization
  • Strong quantitative skills, comfortable navigating a data-driven business environment
  • Critical thinker who is flexible and open to change and new information
  • Interest and experience in developing content and managing social media and corporate channels

Pay

Annual Base Pay: USD 83,500.00 - USD 92,250.00

The above base pay range may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. The range listed is just one component of Wayfair’s total compensation package for employees. Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commissions and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a comprehensive suite of medical, financial and additional benefits.
