Senior Associate, Corporate Actions
About the role
The Senior Specialist, Corporate Actions role is located in Pittsburgh. This role supports daily operational activities within the Corporate Actions function, applies subject matter expertise, participates in testing activities, drafts and documents business requirements, investigates and troubleshoots operational and system-related issues, provides support during high-volume periods, trains team members, shares knowledge, and demonstrates adaptability.
Responsibilities
- Support daily operational activities within the Corporate Actions function, ensuring work is completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with established procedures and controls.
- Apply subject matter expertise in corporate actions to support business processes, operational inquiries, and team initiatives.
- Participate in testing activities related to system enhancements, process changes, and platform updates impacting corporate action workflows.
- Draft, document, and communicate business requirements based on operational knowledge and subject matter expertise.
- Investigate and troubleshoot operational and system-related issues, partnering with relevant teams to support timely resolution.
- Provide support to the day-to-day operations team during periods of increased transaction volume, staffing shortages, or other business-driven demands.
- Train team members on processes, procedures, and system functionality to promote consistency, accuracy, and team effectiveness.
- Share knowledge, best practices, and process insights across the team to strengthen functional capability and support continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, tools, and operational processes.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to improve workflow efficiency and support business objectives.
- Maintain a strong focus on risk awareness, control adherence, and compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
- Prior corporate action experience preferred.
- Experience in financial services operations, securities operations, or a related function preferred.
- Demonstrated experience supporting testing activities and/or business requirements documentation preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Experience training others and supporting team development preferred.

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
