Overview

The role supports COBT’s go-to-market strategy, including analyzing marketing strategy across different customer segments, proprietary/external channels, positioning/messaging, and treatments. It involves building triggered messaging campaigns, content strategy, marketing execution, customer segmentation and analytics, relationship management, external analysis, and event strategy.

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Channel Performance Analytics: Assess ROI of different channels and develop perspective on COBT’s GTM strategy across channels
  • Triggered Messaging Campaign: Build triggered messaging campaigns and holistic strategy across different customer journeys and segments
  • Content Strategy: Partner closely with COBT Marketing teams to refine COBT positioning and customer-facing claims
  • Marketing Execution: Support COBT marketing partners in execution of and performance analysis of specific campaigns
  • Customer segmentation and analytics: Build out specific customer segments to identify targeted treatment opportunities
  • Customer Needs: Partner with the insights team to deeply understand the target audience, validate product positioning and messaging, and act as the voice of both the customer and Capital One Business Travel to the organization
  • Relationship Management: Serve as the lead point of contact for Card, Field, and Marketing teams to champion marketing goals and increase product usage
  • External analysis: Understand how competitors are evolving their product and messaging strategies, and build strategies that position us for success in the market
  • Event Strategy: Partnering with the Sponsorships team to develop and execute a high-impact conference and industry event strategy

Qualifications

  • High level of initiative and ownership, ability to coordinate efforts across diverse functional groups
  • Ability to self-direct and task switch between strategic and tactical initiatives regularly
  • Succinct, focused written and verbal communication skills
  • Marketing analytics practitioner and problem solver: Uses data and storytelling to influence decisions and deliver actionable recommendations that solve current customer engagement and product marketing opportunities
  • Data-driven decision making: High degree of comfort with data analysis in SQL, with independent curiosity to understand the “why” behind the data
  • Collaboration & influence: Ability to productively partner with a wide variety of teams across the organization to advance our goals and connect marketing activities to underlying business strategy

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of professional experience performing analysis
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: - A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
  • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
  • 1+ years of experience in Statistical model building
  • 1+ years of experience in market research
  • 1+ years of experience in SQL querying
  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis
  • 1+ years of experience in consulting
