Senior Associate

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience in insurance coverage and/or insurance bad faith litigation to advise clients on complex coverage matters and represent them in litigation, mediation, and negotiations. The role requires strong analytical, research, writing, and client counseling skills, along with active Washington State Bar admission.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on insurance coverage matters, including policy interpretation, claim handling, and dispute resolution.
• Manage and assist with a caseload involving complex insurance coverage and litigation claims.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support litigation and provide strategic client advice.
• Represent clients in litigation, mediation, and negotiations.
• Analyze and interpret insurance policies, claims, and related documents.
• Monitor developments in insurance law, regulations, and industry trends.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff on case strategy and client matters.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism in client and team interactions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• 5+ years of experience in insurance coverage and/or insurance bad faith litigation.
• Active Washington State Bar admission required.
• Oregon Bar admission is a plus.
• Exceptional legal research and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong judgment and attention to detail.
• High level of professionalism and ability to work effectively with clients and legal teams.
