Senior Associate, Alternative Investments Accounting
About the role
The Senior Specialist is a hands-on fund accounting professional responsible for day-to-day accounting, NAV production, reporting, and operational support of complex private equity, private credit, and evergreen fund structures. This role serves as both a producer and technical resource, partnering closely with clients, internal operational teams, and senior management to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly NAV packages.
- Perform cash, position, and capital activity reconciliations.
- Process complex transactions including subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, distributions, allocations, and fee accruals.
- Prepare investor and fund-level reporting packages.
- Support audits, financial statement production, and regulatory reporting processes.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, breaks, and valuation issues.
- Work across platforms such as Geneva, Investran, and related reporting tools.
- Participate in fund launches, conversions, onboarding initiatives, and operational projects.
- Support process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Interact directly with clients regarding fund activity and reporting deliverables.
Requirements
- 4–8+ years of alternative investment fund accounting experience.
- Strong NAV, partnership accounting, and reconciliation experience.
- Private equity, credit, fund-of-funds, or evergreen fund experience preferred.
- Experience with Geneva, Investran, Advent, or equivalent systems preferred.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple deliverables simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CPA or CFA designation preferred.

- Proficiency in relevant software (Geneva, Investran).

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
