Role: Senior Asset Manager - Affordable Housing Client: Leading, NYC-based Real Estate Developer Location: New York, NY (In office Monday-Friday) Salary: $145,000 - $175,000 annually and additional bonuses Benefits: Full benefits package offered Employment Type: Full-time, At-will A growing real estate developer, focused on ground-up multifamily and affordable housing projects throughout New York, are expanding their Asset Management team and bringing on a Senior Asset Manager to help oversee their portfolio of 5000+ units. This is a great opportunity to break into a growing, collaborative and exciting developer. Responsibilities:Assist in leading the asset management function across a diverse portfolio of multifamily and affordable housing assets.Support the implementation of portfolio-wide asset management strategies and operational objectives.Monitor debt compliance, reserve balances, covenant performance, and refinancing opportunities.Oversee monthly financial reviews, variance analyses, cash flow performance, and operating results.Manage relationships with third-party property management companies and hold teams accountable to ownership objectives.Oversee compliance with LIHTC, Section 8, HAP, regulatory agreements, and other affordable housing programs.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.5-8 years of experience in asset management, real estate finance, property management, development, or accounting.Must have an in-depth understanding on compliance related to LIHTC, Section 8, HAP, HUD and other affordable housing programs.Advanced Excel and analytical skills.Experience managing third-party property managers and interacting with lenders, investors, and ownership groups.Experience with refinancing, dispositions, capital planning, and strategic portfolio management.
