Senior Asset-Based Lending Originator

About the Role

Citizens is recruiting for a Senior Originator in our Asset Based Lending (ABL) Group. This role is integral to driving new client acquisition and business activity for our National Team. The position involves close collaboration with leadership in the ABL Group, Capital Markets, and coverage banking (Middle Market, MidCorporate, and Corporate Finance).

Responsibilities

• Lead origination activities in the ABL Group covering the South region.
• Drive revenue generation from new ABL loans, other credit products, capital market executions, and ancillary products.
• Work closely with the Head of Originations to set regional go-to-market strategies, including prospect targeting, strategy execution, and oversight of the deal sales process, including client selection.
• Manage coordination of the deal team, ABL resources, and supporting groups such as coverage, risk, and capital markets teammates.
• Build and enhance the Citizens brand while improving internal and external communications, including expectations management.
• Maintain market-leading ABL product expertise, debt capital knowledge, and risk appetite understanding to ensure consistent success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in ABL origination and structuring, financial analysis, credit policy application, credit monitoring, and risk administration practices.
• ABL capital markets and syndication experience is a plus.
• Ideal candidate is located in Atlanta or Florida (Tampa, Orlando, or Miami area).
• Equivalent work experience may substitute for formal credit training program completion.
• Excellent verbal, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and function under pressure.
• Proficient in PC applications, including projection modeling.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• FINRA licenses 79 & 63 & SIE are required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.

Schedule

• Hours per Week: 40+
• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
