Senior Asphalt Technologist

This position is part of Asphalt Value Chain, Asphalt Technology West located in Tempe, AZ and reports to the Asphalt Technology Director. As part of the team, the selected candidate will play an integral role in product development, commercial support, production, quality control, customer satisfaction, and economic optimization of Asphalt and Heavy Oil products. Supported products include Performance Graded Asphalt Binders, Polymer Modified Asphalt Binders, Emulsified Asphalts, Cutback Asphalts, Roofing Asphalts, and Industrial Asphalts. This position is part of a job family with multiple grade levels. The successful candidate will be placed at a location and level commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
- Plays an active role in providing quality oversight and maintaining quality control standards and procedures.
- Supports or leads investigations related to significant quality incidents.
- Maintains a high-level of technical expertise on the formulation and application of asphalt products including asphalt binder and emulsions, as well as hot mix asphalt and roofing.
- Maintains a high-level of engagement in industry innovations, technical developments, and ongoing research efforts.
