Senior ASP.Net Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior ASP.Net Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including core development of an application from scratch, creating APIs and web services in ASP.Net. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely various ASP.Net Core framework, HTML5, CSS3, Ajax, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the colour and font choices, and so on). The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and custom application development.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in development of new modules in the latest ASP.Net framework.
• Should have deep understanding of Software-as-a-Service model and enterprise ASP.Net application development.
• Establishing and guiding the website's architecture.
• Designing and implementing new features and functionality.
• Ensuring high performance, availability and managing all technical aspects of a new custom application development from scratch.
• Implementing effective, responsive design and turning it into a working application.
• Develop Clean, fast and mobile friendly website.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate within a cross-functional and multi-disciplinary team to deliver quality outcomes in an agile environment.
• Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining ASP.Net applications with MS SQL Server as backend database is an added advantage.

Skills

• Experience with responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred. Also, an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment, is preferred.
• 5+ years experience in ASP.Net framework-based development, including developing modules, web services and APIs.
• Proficient understanding of web markup including .NET 4.0/4.5 Framework, Visual Studio, C#, ASP, MVC, WebAPI, Dot Net Core, jQuery, Angular, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, AJAX, Restful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
• Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server database application.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Photoshop or invision is a plus.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that applications will adhere to them.
• Strong Responsive design experience.
• Excellent Testing/Debugging skills.
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Good communication skills.

Qualifications

• UG: BCA or Bachelor of Engineering (preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology).
• PG: MCA or Similar.
