Senior Art Director
About the Role
As a senior-level creative contributor within the agency, the Senior Art Director interfaces directly with Real Chemistry clients and all areas of the organization. Primary responsibilities include guiding the ideation and creative development for projects, business development, and some corporate marketing. This role requires a thorough understanding of integrating copy with art and layouts, strong creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate strategic ideas into polished deliverables for key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality assurance for all related design deliverables
- Manage, lead, and direct promotional art projects
- Assess client needs, propose, and develop innovative multimedia solutions
- Understand and develop new technology to maintain agency competitiveness
- Demonstrate advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Provide a work breakdown structure (WBS) and budget for complex deliverables
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Potential to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
- Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by supervisor
- Adapt to changing scope, responsibilities, and focus as the business evolves
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in arts, graphic arts, related field, or similar work experience (required)
- Master’s degree in a related field (Digital Media, Electronic Visualization, Visual Arts, Computer Graphic Design) is preferred
- At least 6 years of professional art/design/creative writing experience demonstrated by a strong design portfolio
- Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent knowledge of effective graphic and presentation design techniques
- Proactive, driven, and resourceful with strong prioritization skills
- Highly organized self-starter, able to work independently and under tight deadlines

Pay
The pay range for this position is $90,000–$110,000. Compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
Schedule
Work arrangements may vary by role and location. For employees within a one-hour commute of a Real Chemistry office, in-person attendance is required two days per week, either from a Real Chemistry office or when working onsite with clients. Employees in regions without a nearby office may work remotely and come together throughout the year for collaboration, culture-building, learning, and team connection opportunities.
