Senior Army JROTC Instructor
Essential Duties
Complies with all regulatory guidelines outlined in Cadet Command Regulation 145-2, JROTC Program Organization, Administration, Operation, Training and Support and Cadet Command Regulation 145-8-3, Organizational Inspection Program.
Provides comprehensive educational instruction to cadets in the JROTC program.
Counsels cadets on their performance within the JROTC program.
Motivates and encourages students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a foundation for becoming a responsible citizen.
Maintains a working knowledge of new instructional methods, technology and equipment.
Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
Attends staff development programs, department meetings and other professional activities.
Physical Requirements
Sit and stand for extended periods of time.
Occasionally walk, bend and reach.
Occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds to shoulder height and 50 pounds to waist height.
Must be able to see, to read a computer screen and printed material, with or without vision aids.
Manual dexterity is required to finger, handle or grasp objects.
Must be able to hear and speak.
Must meet height and weight standards outlined in Cadet Command Regulation 145-2.
