Role We have an opening for a Senior Architect to support project work in our Workplace sector. This role can be based in the following cities: Omaha, Nebraska About Workplace At DLR Group DLR Group’s Workplace practice provides a suite of services to end users and developers throughout the US, including core and shell architecture, tenant improvement, interior design, workplace strategy, engineering, and building performance optimization. The distributive leadership of our Workplace studio enables us to mobilize comprehensive teams that can meet the requirements of virtually any workplace building project or program, regardless of size or location. Position Summary As a Senior Architect at DLR Group, you will take on a leadership role in managing key aspects of projects, overseeing the development and delivery of project documentation. You will collaborate closely with integrated design teams to produce high-quality work, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and work plans. As part of our integrated design team, you create buildings that elevate the human experience through design. You will partner directly with the Project Manager to ensure the financial health of the project, the quality of project documents, claim prevention, team collaboration and communication. Additionally, you will lead the cross-functional design disciplines in developing technical solutions. What You Will Do Lead project development, client relationships, and project implementation in coordination with the Project Manager and Project DesignerOversee and ensure quality assurance/control, adherence to practice standards, and protocol complianceAlign design intent with project schedules, budgets, and profitability targetsSpearhead conceptual design and technical strategies, coordinating all disciplines involved in building designPresent design and technical solutions to clients and stakeholdersMentor and lead teams to produce high-quality deliverables and drive innovative design excellenceExecute quality assurance and control measures throughout all project phasesMaintain clear communication with the Project Manager and design team, ensuring alignment on design intentManage client expectations and foster strong relationships through effective presentations and engagementEnsure timely project delivery while meeting budget and profitability goals Required Qualifications Strong technical knowledge with the ability to coordinate and contribute to design and technical solutionsUndergraduate Degree in Architecture required; professional licensure requiredMinimum of 8 years of professional experience in architectureProficient in Revit, Bluebeam, and other standard architecture softwareAbility to lead sustainable design principles in technical plans and deliverablesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong organizational abilitiesActive participation in professional organizations and involvement in marketing and business development activitiesTO BE CONSIDERED, PLEASE SUBMIT CURRENT PORTFOLIO/WORK SAMPLES IN PDF FORMAT* DLR Group is an integrated design firm delivering architecture, engineering, interiors, planning, and building optimization for new builds, renovations, and adaptive reuse projects.
