Senior Architect, Model Performance and Post-Training

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Architect, Model Performance and Post-Training to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will shape how advanced coding models are evaluated, improved, and prepared for real-world deployment. You will work across model development, post-training optimization, and performance measurement to drive better outcomes in software engineering use cases. The position partners closely with research, engineering, and infrastructure teams to scale experimentation and turn model behavior analysis into meaningful performance gains. This is a highly technical architecture role focused on improving model quality through disciplined training, testing, and evaluation frameworks. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $224,000 – $431,250 annually Responsibilities Develop frameworks to measure and analyze coding model performance across software engineering tasks Optimize post-training pipelines for coding models, including supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning Analyze benchmark results and model behavior to identify improvement opportunities Enhance model performance through targeted training interventions and iterative error analysis Build scalable infrastructure for training experiments and model performance evaluation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or AI, or equivalent experience, with 12+ years in the field Strong programming skills in Python and expertise in large language models and transformer architectures Foundational knowledge of reinforcement learning algorithms, including MDPs and reward design Deep understanding of software engineering principles, code generation, and automated testing Proven experience leading model development life cycles, including dataset versioning and experiment tracking Benefits Comprehensive benefits package including health, wellness, and retirement plans Equity options available for employees Access to professional development resources and training programs Flexible work arrangements to support work-life balance Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
